About Windsong

Windsong Equitherapy is named after an extraordinary Arabian therapy horse that passed on in July of 2004. Windsong's dedication to his job, the care he took with the riders, and his flexibility in performing to meet the needs of the rider are the foundations on which Wingsong Equitherapy is built. Windsong Equitherapy seeks to provide high quality therapeutic riding activities to individuals of all ages with varying abilities in a safe and supportive environment.

Windsong Equitherapy seeks to take an individual, analyze their needs, and meet those needs through one or more of the services that are offered in our program. Some of our services include therapeutic riding with PATH Intl (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International)-registered therapeutic riding instructors with over 15 years combined teaching experience in therapeutic riding and equine instruction, ground lessons which expose the rider to horse care and management, various types of equipment and tack, equine physiology and movement.

We are unique from other riding programs in that we are completely volunteer based and none of our staff is paid. We take riders from a variety of backgrounds regardless of their ability to pay, thus we rely on donations from our riders and support from the community to help with our financial obligations. All money received goes into the care and feeding of our horses and program maintenance.

Windsong Equitherapy has three highly trained Path Intl-certified therapeutic riding instructors, Christina Gottschall, Ann Marie Williams, and Linda Ganzel. Christina, Ann Marie, and Linda have a varied and vast knowledge of many different aspects of equine riding styles, teaching, and training both horse and rider. All have been involved for many years in the Windsong program and other therapeutic riding programs and are excited to work with Windsong helping to take it to the next level.

The mission of Windsong Equitherapy: "To provide high quality therapeutic riding activities to individuals of all ages with varying abilities in a safe and supportive environment."
